Good questions make for better care

Here are the details owners most often want to know before booking. If your pup’s situation is unique, we’re always happy to talk.

Booking

How do I request a booking?+
Complete the booking form with your dates, service, neighborhood, and dog’s details. We’ll review your request, confirm availability, and explain the next steps. Submitting the form does not confirm a booking.
Can I meet my sitter first?+
Yes. For first-time care, a meet-and-greet lets you review the routine, discuss home access, and see how your dog responds to the sitter before care begins.
What is the cancellation policy?+
Cancellation terms are provided before the booking is confirmed, so you can review them in advance. Holiday and extended-stay bookings may have different notice windows.

Your sitter

Who will care for my dog?+
Playful Pups currently has one dedicated sitter with two years of solid pet-sitting experience. A meet-and-greet gives you and your dog time to get comfortable before care begins.

During care

Will I receive updates?+
Yes. Your sitter sends useful care notes and photos according to the communication plan you agree on before the booking.
Will you follow my dog’s normal routine?+
That’s our starting point. Share feeding times, walk habits, cues, house rules, favorite activities, and anything that helps your dog feel settled.

Care needs

Can you care for puppies or senior dogs?+
Yes, when the sitter and service are appropriate for your dog’s needs. We’ll ask about breaks, mobility, feeding, and other care details before confirming.
Can a sitter give medication?+
Tell us what is required when you submit your request. We’ll confirm whether a sitter can safely follow those instructions before a booking is accepted.
What if my dog is anxious or reactive?+
Please share triggers, body-language cues, handling preferences, and any bite or escape history openly. That helps us decide whether we can provide safe, appropriate care.
Can you care for more than one dog?+
Often, yes. Include the number of dogs and their routines in your request so we can plan appropriate time and handling.

Safety

What happens in an emergency?+
We keep your contact, backup contact, and veterinarian information with the care plan. Your sitter follows the agreed emergency steps and prioritizes your dog’s immediate safety.
How is home access handled?+
Access instructions are confirmed before care begins and used only as needed to complete the visit.

Service area

Do you serve my neighborhood?+
We serve San Antonio and nearby neighborhoods. Send us your ZIP code if you’re near the boundary and we’ll be happy to check availability.
